1. Ansgars Church is ALSO for Foreigners
Ansgar’s Church is home to many generations of Danish families, but being a diverse church, many non-danes are also a valued part of Ansgar’s community.
The church welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.
Most of our services at 10.30 will be translated into English.
Please arrive 5 - 10 minutes before the service in order to get your receiver.

MONDAY MORNING: Networking, skills sharing
– Open International fellowship in Aalborg.
A place of networking and meeting new friends.
A group of people helping each other.
We meet twice a month: Monday morning from 9 – 12 am.

Thursdays: Danish Classes - Cultural Activity, hygge and help
3 – 4.30 pm: Free Danish classes
4.30 – 5.30 pm: Cultural Activity, hygge and help
A place for you who want to practice Danish and be a part of a community with Danes and people from all around the world.
We offer free Danish classes both for beginners and on advanced levels.
No sign up needed. From 4 to 6 pm, we have different activities including trips around Aalborg, help with Danish homework, games, dinner, hang out and HYGGE.
3. Fellowships, groups and activities in Ansgars Church
Besides the regular Sunday Church Service with English translation, there are several activities throughout the week for all ages.
Church services
- Main Sunday Service at 10:30 (with English Translation)
- Morning Sunday service at 09:00
- Worship
Children and Family
- Baby songs and activities. For babies (2 - 10 months) together with mom or dad (or other adult)
- Kids club (4-10 years old)
- Play group. (for all children from 0 - 6 years old and their parents)
- Mini church (for children aged 0 - 3)/ Children's church (for children aged 4 years - 3rd grade)
- Spaghetti service (a cozy service for families with children, there are various fun activities ending with dinner)
Adults
- Elsk Aalborg International - a place to be seen, known and loved (Danish classes - cultural activities and more)
- Ansgars aftener: Life lessons (Different topics will be addressed. See church program to find out more)
Youth fellowships
So if you wish to be an active member of Danish society and Aalborg’s community come visit Ansgars Kirke.
4. Translation to English
Most of our services at 10.30 will be translated into English.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the service in order to get your receiver.
The translator is found at the back of the church and will be happy to lend you a receiver.
If you want to attend some of the other activities in the church, and would like translation, please let the translators know.
